Complexity
One slider decides how much you see: fewer items when you want focus, more when you want breadth.
What the slider does
It caps the number of theses per view and the number of arguments per stance column on a thesis page. Everything filtered out is still there — it just isn't shown until you turn the slider up or reach the item another way.
What changes
- Thesis lists (home, categories, pulse) show up to the cap; the rest are scrollable but not front-and-centre.
- Thesis pages show the top N supporting and top N rejecting arguments; the remainder go into the pool below.
- The feed shows the most recent updates and new theses in topics you follow.
Tip
Start low, then raise the slider when you want the long tail. It's per-session, so it doesn't leak between people using the same device.
