The three kinds

• Support You agree with this thesis or argument.
• Reject You disagree with it.
• Neutral You've read it and considered it, but neither support nor reject captures your view.

The vote budget

Every user starts each cycle with a fixed number of votes. When you spend them, the counter goes down. This forces prioritisation — you can't drown out every conversation. The current budget is shown in the left sidebar; click to expand for details.

Weighted votes

You can spend more than one vote on a single item to signal how strongly you feel. A weighted vote counts as multiple votes from your budget but is still one voice.

Changing your mind

You can change or remove your vote at any time. The most recent vote is what counts.
